Southminster Detention

The sitework contractor on this project that was completed in two phases. First phase of work consisted of installing a new underground detention system in an existing roadway.  Detention System consisted of 400 lf of 60” Corrugated Metal Pipe for storage and 160 lf of 142”x91” arch corrugated metal pipe as a sand filter system. With the limited work area of the project phase we had to install 15,500 sf temporary excavation support system consisting of soil nailed wall on two sides of the detention system.  The second phase of the project was the construction of the new 5 story skilled nursing & assisted living center and 2 levels of underground parking deck.  We blasted and removed approximately 20,000 cyds of weather rock, backfilled approximately 6,000 cyds around the perimeter of the building, installed 2,000 lf concrete curb, 5,200 sy asphalt paving, 10,000 sf of concrete sidewalk, 11,000 sf HD Concrete, 5,500 sf of segmental retaining walls, 2,100 lf of storm drainage, 450 lf of sanitary sewer and 1,300 lf waterline service.
