Sitework Project

Frank Liske Barn

In March of 2020, vandals burnt the historic two-story Frank Liske Park Barn & Silo to the ground.  This design-bid-build project is a replacement of the much-loved structure in the heart of Cabarrus County's largest public park.   The footprint of the building remained the same, but the new structure was brought up to current code and made taller.  New features include an elevator, an additional exit stairway, fire sprinkler system, and modern HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment.  The structure is built entirely of glue-laminated wood.  The interiors feature stained wood wall paneling, stained wood flooring, and stained solid oak custom doors.  The intent was to build a space that looked and felt like a barn, but was ready for hosting assembly events in 2023.  The exterior of the building features an open air silo with a metal mesh skin and multi-colored LED lighting system.
